Support & Updates

Your support period determines which versions of MZAP you can install: a release is available to you if it came out before your support ended.

Your license itself does not expire. When support lapses, the version you already have stays yours to use — you simply stop gaining access to releases published after that date.

The About dialog shows your support expiry date. A Renew support & updates button appears next to it, and in the update banner, from 60 days before support ends and afterwards. It is shown only when renewing would actually change something, so licenses with lifetime support and trials never see it.

Checkout opens in your system browser.

If a newer release exists but came out after your support ended, the update banner does not offer a download that would not work. Instead it names:

  • The version that is available.
  • The date your update window closed.
  • The newest version still available to you, with buttons to renew or to download that version.

If a build outside your window is installed anyway — by downloading an installer directly, for example — MZAP keeps working normally on it. Nothing is locked or disabled.

The app explains that the version falls outside your window and offers the same two choices: renew, or move to the newest version your license covers.

This is deliberately not treated as an invalid license. Your license is fine, and MZAP keeps running normally — including its API, which stays fully available while support is expired.
